In 1964, Gabriel Fabre purchased his first estate in the Left Bank of Bordeaux, next to Pauillac and its First Classified Growth. The whole vineyard was replanted and the vathouse completely rebuilt. Over the years, the whole family worked hard to improve the quality and notoriety of his wines. After Gabriel death in 1991, Vincent Fabre, his son, took over the management of the estates.Vincent Fabre always wanted to thank his father for his hard work during his whole life. To pay tribute to him, he created a wine from the very best vines of his estates. Doing so, he strived to incorporate in Gabriel the three major qualities of his father : a strong personality, a big generosity and a lot of patience. A unique wine like his father.Vinification & Aging Very strict rules are applied. Traditional vinification in stainless steel vats with long maceration to obtain an optimum concentration of tannins.
